S.A.F.E.

In Europe, ensuring true reproductive justice falls to grassroots activists. The knowledge needed to help the most marginalized navigate abortion laws and provision safely and efficiently is held by a handful of people. SAFE is a European charity founded by frontline abortion activists to provide critically needed infrastructure and support to existing and emerging abortion funds, including: - Building and regularly updating a secure online repository of our collective knowledge of the ever-changing abortion access pathways - Resources and trainings on fundraising, burnout prevention, volunteer management and more - Outreach to providers to ensure later abortion provision for non-residents Our partners are excellent at getting people abortions but have little time for admin. SAFE will do the “boring” but critically important work needed to underpin and create sustainability of our movement. As our name suggests, we will provide information on how to do this work in a way that is SAFE for both the activists and the people who need abortions. Collecting and maintaining this information in a secure location will allow more people to do this work, will enable a faster response to the next abortion crisis in Europe, and will help existing organizations onboard new volunteers more quickly.
