Project aims
Hope Hive virtually brings together artists, researchers, and changemakers working towards conflict transformation to develop their creative practice and action research. The project promotes knowledge sharing, intercultural dialogue and collaboration for long term wellbeing and healing, and meaningful cross-community relationships.
Project description
Hope Hive is an online space where artists, researchers and changemakers come together based on their shared dedication to conflict transformation and social change. IMPACT will select 10-20 participants through an open call to our global network, and will convene an online gathering to network and express an interest in working together. They will then be paired up to learn from each other’s knowledge, experiences and contexts, and elevate their creative practice, social action work, and/or research. Over a one year period, they will regularly exchange and collaborate on their social change initiatives for conflict transformation through arts and culture. IMPACT will provide opportunities to share their experience and learning, through virtual events and our international channels.
Like a beehive, the project brings people together from different places to share nectar with each other, which creates an enriching and nourishing experience for the hive. The project fosters hope and meaningful exchange by promoting greater awareness, empathy and understanding of different conflict settings and lived experiences. Hope Hive will increase wellbeing and healing in participants and their communities, and will build meaningful relationships for inclusive and sustainable social change.
