Project aims
Extreme Events Conference - the support victims and communities need post-event; how housing can be replaced; how existing housing can be adapted
Project description
Our small voluntary group, the Healthier Housing Partnership (Home | Healthier Housing), has a big ambition to run an international online conference, focussing on the health and wellbeing impact of extreme events such as tornadoes, flooding, earthquakes etc. and their effect on communities. In particular how to re-build in ways that help communities be resilient to future events, including policy change needed to support this. We are only a small group but have built an international advisory group from across the world and there is a lot of support for the event building. We have secured Nathalie Roebel from the WHO as a keynote speaker as well as the Dr David Jacobs from the NCHH in US but we need some help and support as we move forward.
I very much hope you can help us in our ambition and very much look forward to hearing from you. Thank you. Best wishes, Zena
