Project description
Desai Foundation Trust's MHM Program targets Indian states, prioritizing rural areas to address the MHM crisis.
Awareness and Education: We conduct workshops and awareness campaigns in rural areas, breaking cultural barriers and fostering discussions on menstrual hygiene, positively impacting young girls' societal and familial status.
Economic Empowerment: Our initiatives in sanitary napkin production and distribution, particularly with Asani Sanitary Napkin, create job opportunities for women. Sanginies, underprivileged women with distribution training, distribute sanitary napkins, earning commissions, fostering economic well-being and menstrual health awareness.
Health Improvement: Our commitment includes distributing high-quality sanitary napkins and health education sessions to address physical and mental health challenges faced by women and girls in rural regions.
Access to Sanitary Pads: To reduce school dropout rates among girls, we increase access to sanitary pads in schools and communities, aligned with our goal to enhance educational outcomes, workforce participation among women, and contribute to overall economic development.
Our project spans Indian states, targeting rural areas to address the MHM crisis, break cultural barriers, and boost well-being and economic growth.
