The International Permaculture Colab is presenting two project options. #1 Permaculture is Climate Action Conference - brings visibility to environmental work within the permaculture domain. #2 Online learning modules expansion for grassroots permaculture projects working in communities affected by climate change.
Project description
Project 1. One-time event. Permaculture is Climate Action 4 day online conference that aims to integrate permaculture practices with climate action, presenting ongoing projects already working on the ground, increasing climate literacy among permaculturists and providing open spaces for established and grassroots projects to share their work. The sessions will cover: climate literacy, permaculture-inspired nature-based solutions and how they mitigate climate change, impact measurement and documentation, institutional funding readiness, financial sustainability and local economy, permaculture & climate justice. Projected number of attendees: 200+. Projected cost: £7,500. Project 2. Growth and capacity-building. Expansion of the training program to better serve grassroots permaculture projects. Topics will include: micro enterprise formation, setup to deliver lasting value, co-creation and community culture, team formation, self-organizing teams working with transparency and accountability, conflict transformation, sociocracy and open-governance, community-led funding. Number of courses: 10. Courses format: digital (video & text), downloadable supporting materials, knowledge checks, access to LEARN course forums for peer-to-peer engagement and knowledge sharing. Projected cost: £20,000.
