Project description
Talking Money is a charity located in Bristol that focuses on empowering individuals and families dealing with financial difficulties. The organisation offers a range of help including accessible information, tailored legal advice and practical support aimed at helping people maximise their income, manage their debt, navigate complex welfare systems and cultivate essential money management skills. With a strengths-based and psychologically informed approach, Talking Money seeks to address the underlying causes of financial hardship while fostering long-term stability.
The charity primarily serves Bristol and South Gloucestershire, working closely with people on a one-on-one basis to develop personalised strategies. Their services also include navigating the complexities of welfare and debt systems to ensure clients receive the support they need.
With approximately 350 direct beneficiaries each year, Talking Money aims to positively influence the health and wellbeing of those it supports. Their commitment to creating inclusive communities helps break cycles of poverty and financial instability. Funding for their vital services is sourced from various places including trusts and foundations, individual donations and local authorities. Funding is always scarce and they are very much in need of further support. They thank you for your consideration.
