The project shall strengthen the Village Beach Committees along the beaches of Salima which shall be empowered with waste bins, gloves, aprons, masks and brooms to clean up the beaches. There will be boats that will be used to clean up the debris inside the lake so that they can not endanger the aquatic life thereby conserving the fish and other marine life. There will also be strengthening of by-laws that will help conserve the aquatic life and beaches. The fishermen shall be discouraged to use mosquito nets as fishing gears to prevent small fish from being fished thereby conserving fish in the lake. This will also help grow the numbers of fish stock in the lake as they are already dwindling due to the practice. We would like the beaches of lake Salima to be well conserved.
