Scale up and implement Forward

The Organic Growers Alliance

We wish to implement four key areas of our Forward Plan that will significantly scale up the work we do to support organic growers and increase our membership. We need to employ a Coordinator to manage this work, and fund additional hours for our existing staff so they can increase their support for organic growers, provide more practical resources and advice, build local grower groups, educate people on why organic growing is a vital part of the fight against climate change, and grow the organic market in the UK to make healthy food more accessible. We need to redesign our website so that it functions more effectively and requires less staff time to maintain, is more attractive to users, and communicates our message better. We would like to fund a year of events, including six webinars, six on-farm tours, an annual conference, our AGM, and an annual staff day, so that we can continue to spread knowledge and skills to growers across the UK. We need to buy essential equipment for our staff to work from home safely, and technical equipment for hybrid conferences, to enable us to expand our reach further and make our resources as accessible as possible.
