Project description
This year, Luke is aiming in 2024 to complete a further 250 km of British coastline and waterways, speak with 500 school children, engage with 5 councils and pick up 5,000 items of rubbish. Destinations include Rokeby School in Kingston, southwest London, Seabrook School in Folkestone, Eton College in Windsor, St Mary's Roman Catholic Primary School in Lowestoft, Falmouth Primary Academy in Cornwall and Queen's Park Primary in West London. Each trip includes: (1) A run and beach clean along a stretch of coastline or inland waterway. (2)A school visit including presentation to school children and potentially a project. (3) Meetings with local officials. Including travel, accommodation, public relations and social media activity, each trip costs an average of £1,000.
